The 3 Keys of Conscious Leadership

In this post, I share what it means to be a conscious leader and the three keys of a GREAT leader. 

You can lead an entire country without these skills if you are granted power, but you will suffer consequences. These consequences will be internal as well as external for someone who is not on their “right path”

 

Conscious

To be conscious is to be aware of one’s self completely. Fully active mentally. Attentive, aware of thoughts, emotions, and the present moment.

 

Leadership

Someone who is self-disciplined. They inspire confidence in others and move them to action. Someone who will step up when a task needs to be accomplished. They are not afraid of doing things differently. They command authority or influence.

 

#1 Clarity

Being clear is kind! The more clear that we get with ourselves by being radically open, honest, and transparent, the more clearly others will understand us. So within, so without. If you are experiencing chaos and compartmentalization within the mind, it is likely that your outer world is reflecting that back to you, only making you feel more stressed and unorganized. 

 

Getting clear with yourself can be a challenge if you have never done it. It all starts with one simple question;

 

WHAT DO YOU WANT? 

 

Whatever your first answer is, you can assume that is the ego and release it. Now, take a deep breath x3. Give yourself some time to sit in silence without “doing” or “trying”. Just ALLOW. 

 

After you feel that you are a little more grounded and tuned into your heart space, ask yourself: “What do I want?”

 

Save the drama for your mama. We don’t need any ego or judgment in this exercise. Just your soul wisdom. Take your time and get crystal clear on what YOU want. Not your mom, dad, husband, kids, etc. YOU. What is YOUR greatest desire? Have you ever said it out loud? 

 

Having clarity with yourself will help you create purity in all of your relationships.

 

#2 Courage

A quote that changed my life forever:

“Without fear, there is no need for courage.”

 

This quote impacted me deeply because in that moment, I realized my humanness. The paradox of change is that we deeply desire the unknown, however, it is our greatest fear. 

 

We wish to find great excitement in life, but when it feels like something else (fear, anxiety) we don’t want it! Ummm…. Seems problematic, huh? 

 

We all have something that we are scared of. One person’s greatest fear might be to never be able to work again, while someone else’s fear might be dying. It takes courage for us to face our unique fears. We cannot be the judge of how much courage it will take for someone to do something because we don’t know how afraid of it they are. We are all wired much differently. 

 

It takes courage to get out of your comfort zone. Maybe you are already completely confident in one area of your life, but you still need the courage to confidently respond in other areas. 

 

Surgeons are a great example of someone who is admirably competent in one area, but might lack largely in other areas. Many great surgeons spend so much time doing what they love (learning how to be great surgeons) that their personal/social lives suffer. You could be the number one brain surgeon in the world and still have to muster up the courage to go on a date. 

 

Courage comes from commitment. You have to know what you want (clarity) and then commit to it. 

 

What is something that you know you need to do but haven’t had the courage to achieve? Is it in alignment with your souls purpose? What is holding you back? 

 

#3 Compassion

This is the strong desire to alleviate suffering. Again, so within, so without.

 

You cannot have compassion for others if you are not having compassion for yourself. Want to save the world? SAVE YO-SELF.

 

I have met a LOT of people and I can confidently say that across the board; most humans lack self-compassion. We grew up with parents from the Great Depression and Baby Boomer era’s. Compassion wasn’t exactly the forefront focus during that time. 

 

I have had so many clients share stories with me about being told that their feelings were not valid. In some cases my clients were told that their feelings/emotions/depression was not real. These individuals learned to contain any type of emotion and never say anything about it. 

 

Decades of never expressing your true needs, desires, and emotions can wreak havoc on the body. We store trauma in each of our organs, not just the mind. If you have a physical ailment, there is some energy that is trapped within you that needs to be released.

 

Practicing self-compassion seems so simple and easy that you might think it is one of those steps you can just skip over. DO NOT > I REPEAT > DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP. 

 

I have THREE key principles that I teach my leadership around. CLARITY, COURAGE, and COMPASSION. They are all equally as important. 

 

Start treating yourself the way you wished your mother had when you were a child. 

 

Beginning to work with the small child that is within you will start to make hugeeee shifts in your external world. 

 

Within every one of us, there is a child that didn’t have his/her needs met in some way. Have compassion for not only your adult self, but also that small innocent child. When we heal ourselves, we have the magic to help others heal.

4 Things to Remember When Stepping Into a Higher Version of Yourself

To the woman who is ready to step into her highest self but not sure where to start,

 

We could agree that our parents were “supposed to” teach us the basics of how to care for ourselves, but the reality is: our parents did the best they could. Fortunately for us, that is all we needed. We can take it from here. 

 

We are adults now and WE have the power and permission to start stepping into our highest self. By taking the time to read this blog, I can tell that you are one of the many individuals that are truly ready to start taking inspired action and discovering the life of peace and equanimity that you are destined for. You are not reading this by mistake. 

 

You have everything that you need to shift into the highest version of yourself RIGHT NOW.

 

Some Important things to keep in mind when you are making these positive lifestyle changes;

 

#1 Don’t Be Afraid To Change Your Mind

 

Just because you change your mind does not make you a hypocrite.

 

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

-Maya Angelou

 

We must be flexible like the trees bending in the storms. We must not cling to any one thing. It is important to keep an open mind because there is no one truth. We are divine beings. Our purpose on this planet is to learn and grow.

 

Do not be afraid of changing your mind when you gain new information or insight. Be wary of people who judge you for changing your mind.

 

#2 Your Happiness Matters Most

I believe that each individual soul on this planet should be focused on making sure their basic needs are being met. When we invest time in making sure that all of our personal needs are being met, we are one step closer to complete flow state.

 

Our first obligation to ourselves and our loved ones should be to make sure that we are in a healthy mental, physical, and spiritual state so that we can show up as the divine powerful goddesses that we are.

 

We are loving and nurturing by nature. This is a gift that you have. Enhance your gift by focusing on the things that give you joy.

 

#3 We Are All Fully Supported

 

No matter what situations you have ever been in, you have always had exactly what you needed. The same goes for all humans. We have each intentionally chosen to incarnate at this time to experience human life. Our gift from the universe for choosing this experience is that we are always supported. 

 

You do not need to be afraid of exiting someone elses life because they will not have anyone else. We are only responsible for our own actions. It is codependency when someone is not open to being supported by others beside you. If you are staying in someone’s life because you believe that they will not survive without you, you are also acting codependantly. 

 

You are fully supported by the universe to do whatever it is that your heart has been nagging you to do. Seriously, do the thing.

 

#4 Breathe

 

When you begin to worry about yourself or someone else not having enough, stop and take a deep breath. If you are worrying, it is because you are not in the present moment.

 

We can have anxiety about things from the past which we cannot change, and we can stress about things that have yet to happen, but when we are in the present moment, there is nothing to worry about.

 

Use the breath to come back to the present moment every time.

 

Trust that you deserve EVERYTHING that you desire. Breathe in peace and joy, and breathe out negativity and self-doubt.

 

We exist in this time and space so that we can learn and evolve. You are on the right path. Stay curious and trust your intuition.

5 Morning Routine Musts

In today’s typical environment, we are overworked and overstimulated. It is crucial that we take the time to practice self-care before entering the urgency of life. Taking the time to complete a morning routine will propel you into the day feeling confident and accomplished. 

 

1. Drink Water

After a long night’s sleep, it is important to rehydrate your body with the liquid we call life! Drinking water first thing helps with your digestive system and the overall function of your body. If you want bonus points- add fresh lemon juice! 

 

2. Gratitude

By physically writing things that you are grateful for, you are embodying gratitude. You are showing the universe that you appreciate what you already have and you are ready for more. 

I say aim for three things to really get your gratitude mindset rolling ( sort of as a bare minimum) but feel free to list as many as you can think of! 

 

3. Incantations

 

Incantations are words or phrases that you say out loud or in your head for positive affirmation. The difference between an Incantation and an Affirmation is that an incantation is magic. (Jk…………..unless you believe in magic and then you know I am not kidding.) 

 

An incantation is an affirmation that you physically feel. You imagine each cell in your body shifting into the belief that you are speaking. By speaking these affirming words; you are taking up space that could otherwise be used for negativity if your mind is running a muck. Or as Buddhists refer to it, “monkey mind”. 

 

 

4. Meditate

Space. Silence. Stillness. Do you notice that wise individuals speak slower? There is more space in between the things that they do. To gain intelligence- you study. To gain wisdom- you go into the silence. 

 

In the silence you will find thousands of years of ancestral wisdom.  When you pray, you are telling or asking God something. When you meditate, you are listening to what God has for you. 

 

Doing this in the morning helps you to return to the breath when you are feeling anxious throughout your day.

 

5. Review Top 3

Each night, before bed- I write my top three priorities for the day. Reviewing these in the morning gives you a great sense of measurement on exactly how much time you have to get them done. It’s great to have a top three so that you are not overwhelmed with a lengthy “To-Do” list. 

 

Have your top priorities fresh on your mind as you enter into the day and you will feel victorious. 

 

These are only 5 of the things that are on my list, but I have deemed them the most important to me. Play with your routine. Munipulate it so that it fits your needs perfectly, but make sure you stick to it! You will feel so much better about your day! 

7 Ways To Boost Your Self Confidence

Self Confidence is Self-Care

How confident do you feel right now? Everyone has a different answer depending on their present situation, time of the day, or maybe after a cup of coffee. It’s not always easy to consistently feel confidence in yourself, especially when faced with the stresses that life inevitably throws your way. I’ve written out seven different ways that you can give yourself the little confidence kick you need for when that happens. After all, investing in your confidence is investing in your self-care.

Confidence isn’t Arrogance

Do you ever feel like you’re not enough, or that you’re too much? What about when you’re around co-workers or friends, and you can’t shake the feeling like you can’t be yourself. Your feelings are real, but they are not reality. All too often, everyone’s perception of others around them is based on your own feelings, which can be exacerbated by peers who may be feeling similarly.

When you’re focused on your personal growth and success, you aren’t paying attention to what other people think about you. Sometimes it can feel like you’re being too ambitious or arrogant. Confidence isn’t arrogance. Believing in yourself is not vanity – it’s self-empowerment. The most confident women that I have ever known, KNEW that they were amazing. They were not afraid to admit it, because they knew that anyone that they wanted to be around would also recognize their awesomeness.

Practice

No one is born confident. Just like everything else that you have mastered, confidence is a learned habit. It is something that you can practice and become better at. Fake it til you make it. Imagine yourself as a character that is confident, and act like you already have it (because you do). Deep inside of you, you know that you are an amazing, badass, woman, and you can start acting like it at any moment. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD will add a layer of difficulty, but practicing as a part of your daily routine can help reinforce treatment and therapy.

Practice Humility

Confidence is sexy when you are kind and loving. Make sure that your confidence is coming from a loving, sincere place. Always remember what it is like to be the self-conscious girl. Practice compassion. You have no idea what kind of trauma someone else has experienced. You DO NOT need to unscrew other girls light’s to make yours shine brighter. Combine your light with everyone around you and be authentic so that other ladies feel comfortable to shine brighter with you. We all win this way.

Know Your Tribe

Since the beginning of time, humans have had tribes. Without a community, we become depressed, have low self-confidence, don’t feel a sense of belonging, or know our purpose.

There are individuals that have yet to experience their spiritual awakening and don’t realize that we are all one. And then there are your people, that share the same dreams and values as you. Maybe you aren’t quite vibrating at the same frequency that they are, but with some life coaching and spiritual mentorship, you can learn how to raise your vibration and become the best version of yourself to attract the best crew for you.

Make Health A Priority

Have you ever left the gym NOT feeling more confident? If you don’t like the gym, I suggest looking for an alternative resolution. Get moving. You can rock climb, hike, rollerblade, practice yoga, join a spin class, etc. The list goes on. Health is not only about what you look like. It affects your mood, sleep pattern, and YOUR LOW CONFIDENCE. Eating a healthy diet and getting proper rest and exercise will help your confidence significantly. Set some weekly health goals for yourself. 20-minutes of exercise 3x per week is much better than none at all.

Practice Meditation

When was the last time you took some time for yourself? Daily meditation practice is a great way to slow down, and allow your mind, body, and spirit to align. When you take a holistic approach, you are opening communication with the universe. Profound insights arise when you retreat to silence. When you return to your natural state, you begin to realize the things that are truly important.

Invest Time and Love in Yourself

There are many ways that you can invest in yourself. Facebook and meetup are places where you can find local and online workshops. Educating yourself is a great way to build confidence. A life coach can help you to find your blind spots and understand where your lack of confidence is stemming from. You don’t know what you don’t know.

There is so much that you can learn from having someone asking you questions that you might not think to ask yourself. A coach will help you learn and grow. Do you know what happens when you learn and grow? You begin to feel more confident in yourself! Find a coach that offers services that resonate with you. Ascension Symptoms 2019

Ascending is rising or increasing to a higher level. Could there possibly be symptoms to you waking up? I recall feeling drained when I was experiencing my awakening, however, I do not think that your ascension or awakening is the cause of your symptoms.

Ascending is an amazing, wonderful, and powerful experience.

We are all capable of ascending to our highest self. (Which is actually no-self; I will be addressing this in an upcoming blog!) Some of the effects you might be experiencing

Feeling Tired

Are you experiencing sleeping problems? Tossing and turning at night? Are you are feeling drained during times of the day when you normally would not be? Letting go of old familiar routines and situations can be both frightening and exhausting.

It is possible that you are exhausted because you are identifying/noticing the resistance in your life that you did not see before. This will not last forever. So much positive energy is coming your way!

Loneliness

In a room full of people do you feel like you are all alone? Are you distancing yourself from normal social activities that you used to enjoy? Are you becoming uninterested in some of your existing relationships (or all)?During your ascension, you may start distancing yourself from others because you notice that they are not on the same path that you desire to be on.

You are beginning to realize what is important to you, and if others values don’t align, you might be wondering where they fit in your life. I encourage you to embrace this loneliness. When you take the time to get a clear idea of your ideal self, you grant yourself the life you desire, which includes the friends that you have wanted all your life.

You may not even know what kind of friends you truly want. Take this time to figure that out.

Expanded Curiosity

Something amazing within you must have been awakened for you to be reading a blog like this! It is likely that you are interested in:

  • Having new experiences that seem more healthy
  • Looking for material to read
  • Searching for activities that you truly enjoy
  • Taking the time to try new things in order to discover what you love rather than being stuck in the same old routine

Trust your intuition! If a new opportunity arises, adopt the “what do I have to lose?” attitude.

These are just a few signs that you are growing, adapting, ascending, and evolving. The most important thing to remember is to have fun along the journey. If you are not having fun, what is it all for? You are only as limited as you want to be. Continue seeking truth, and wisdom & equanimity will follow.
